Initial silence is followed by spiritual instruction on the Reality of the Self. Dialogues on ignorance and Self-inquiry, dreams and the Self, deep sleep and Being-Consciousness, and other spiritual topics. This is followed by a recitation in Sanskrit and English of verses from the Mandukya Upanishad and Karika of Gaudapada and in Tamil from chapter 22 of the Song of Ribhu.
