by Adi Sankara
Translated from the original Sanskrit by Dr. H. Ramamoorthy and Nome
In 33 profound verses, cast as a dialogue between a guru and a disciple, Adi Sankaracarya simultaneously reveals the supreme knowledge of the Self and the highest devotional worship (puja). The disciple first asks, “What manner of worship is prescribed in the undivided Existence-Consciousness-Bliss, in the one undifferentiated nature, though remaining in the state that is one without a second?” He then asks similar questions about the details of such in the context of utmost Nonduality, and, starting with the ninth verse, the Guru replies in the light of the Knowledge of that utmost Nonduality. By reading and meditating upon these illuminative verses by Adi Sankara, one will experience this profound, supreme puja.
